A little about me

I have been thinking lately that I should start a blog. Dont know why just thought it would be fun. Anyway here it is. Tales from the Tattooed Lady will be about me and my family and what goes on from week to week.

I guess I should start off my introducing myself, for those of you who dont know me. My name is Katy. I am 30. I have 2 boys and I am married to the most wonderful man in the world, Mike. We live in Tulsa Oklahoma. I also have a cat, Annie. As the title of my blog shows I am tattooed. I have around 20 so far. Not sure about more but who knows. I have lots of ideas. Anway. I am a simple, Christian woman who works part time cleaning houses for the elderly. I attend Oakridge Baptist Church.

This year has been interesting. This year we decided to have Jordan homeschooled. I had had him in public school but the opportunity to have him homeschooled came and I said yes! Now for those of you who know me I havent been a big supporter of homeschooling but the more Mike and I talked about it the better it sounded. I work part time so me doing it wasnt the best idea. Then Mike talked to his sister who homeschooles her three kids and she agreed. I was relieved. Not only would be get a quality education but he would be safe and having fun at the same time. And his brother could be there with him learning also. Things have been great! Hes doing very well in his math and even learning piano which thrills me so much. I cant thank her enough for taking on my kids. I would like to keep up the homeschooling next year and maybe even thereafter but it will depend on the circumstances. If I can get a job at home then I would do it if not and my sister in law doesnt want to then we would more than likely put him back in to public school which I hate to say it makes my stomach turn.

I am looking forward to next year. I believe that things can only go up from here.
